After the program’s hiatus from 2005 to 2020, the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) held its White Coat and Pinning Ceremonies for the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics (BSND) program at the CHTM Function Hall on March 15, 2024.

The event welcomed students into the profession of nutrition and dietetics. Students donned white coats which marked the transformation of their status from ordinary students to those studying to become health professionals. It ushered the beginning of their journey in promoting health and wellness through proper nutrition and dietetics practices.

The seven third-year students who went through the ceremonies to become the first batch of nutritionists and dietitians from Wesleyan University-Philippines (WUP) after the program’s revival in 2021 included Sophia Isabelle F. Campos, Ram Ezekiel S. Castillo, Kimberly P. Mariano, Claudine P. Monserrat, Erika Gianne R. Domingo, Angelie S. Gagala, and Crasel Shiene C. Saguisabal.

“We are entrusted with the health and well-being of individuals and communities, and it is our collective hope that you will carry this responsibility with the utmost integrity, compassion, and professionalism,” Dr. Dulce Amor S. Padilla, CHTM Dean, reminded the future ND professionals in her speech.
The University is the only higher education institution in Nueva Ecija that offers the BSND program. WUP first offered the BSND program in 1977.
