Through CHED Memorandum Order No. 07 Series of 2024, Wesleyan University-Philippines’s (WUP) retention of its Autonomous Status was confirmed. The University first achieved this status in 2009, and since then maintained it and remained the only one in the Province of Nueva Ecija.There were only 77 private higher education institutions (PHEIs) in the country that would enjoy this status for three years, effective September 16, 2024, until September 15, 2027. In Central Luzon, WUP was among the only seven PHEIs to have this distinction.
“This prestigious recognition speaks to WUP’s steadfast dedication to upholding the highest standards in academic excellence, research, and student development. As a pillar of educational quality in Central Luzon, WUP continues to cultivate well-rounded graduates who are prepared to thrive in a globalized world,” stated CHED Regional Office III in its commendation post for WUP on September 23, 2024.
