Wesleyan officials participate in CHED consultative conference

Wesleyan academic officials led by Vice President for Academic Affairs Leonita Garcia, OIC Registrar Carmelita Tiglao and all deans of academic units attended a regional consultation conference at the Royce Hotel in the Clark Special Economic Zone, Pampanga last October 9.

The event dealt with clarifications regarding the implementation of the new General Education Curriculum (GEC) covered by CHED Memorandum Order No. 20, series of 2013. A related directive also given focus was CMO No.10, series of 2017 concerning students affected by the implementation of the K to 12 program in relation to the new GEC.

Speakers included Dr. J. Prospero De Vera III, CHED commissioner; Dr. Amelia Biglete, CHED Director for Program Standards Development, and Bro. Obet Cabrillas, a motivational speaker and writer.

Some 462 administrators of higher education institutions gathered at the conference sponsored by the Commission on Higher Education-Region III Office (CHEDRO 3) headed by Dr. Caridad Abuan, in cooperation with the Central Luzon Association of Higher Education Institutions (CLASSHEI) led by Dr. Marcelo Fernandez. ###
