December 06, 2019

Two four-storey buildings of Wesleyan University Philippines were inaugurated on December 5, 2019. The buildings, with forty-eight fully air-conditioned rooms, will soon house the College of Medicine which will open next school-year (2020-2021), and the Senior High School. Some offices are also en route to this new facility.

University President Judge Benjamin D. Turgano, together with the United Methodist Church Bishops Rodolfo Juan (Davao Episcopal Area), Ciriaco Francisco (Manila Episcopal Area), and Pedro M. Torio, Jr. (Baguio Episcopal Area), led the inauguration and consecration rites of the twin buildings.

In the solemn ceremonies, former President Pacifico B. Aniag, presented the buildings to be consecrated and the acceptance came from the current President Benjamin D. Turgano.

It was during the presidency of Pacific B. Aniag when the buildings were conceptualized and constructed.

In his speech of acceptance, President Turgano commended former President Aniag for his foresight and vision in the construction of the university facility.

“Truly, we deal on the labors of former presidents because whatever honor, whatever reputation and goodwill that we now enjoy in these building blocks are the dedication and commitment of all those who have done ahead of us in stewardship of this university,” President Turgano said.

The opening of the inauguration was a ribbon cutting by Mrs. Rose Mary Lou J. Turgano, wife of current Wesleyan President Benjamin D. Turgano and Mrs. Alicia Aniag, wife of former President Pacifico B. Aniag.
