October 08, 2018

Wesleyan University-Philippines is presently establishing a partnership with Hongkong’s Wyith Institute.

As part of the first phase of the implementation of the consortium for graduate programs, WU-P sent Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Graduate, Dr. Leonita P. Garcia, Graduate School Associate Dean, Dr. Michael P. Fronda, and former Quality Assurance Director, Dr. Maria Victoria M. Cruz to represent the University in a three-day conference with Wyith CEO and President Dr. Raymond Cheng.

The visit also aimed to observe classes, activities and other academic-related operations of the institute and to discuss details on the requirements and necessary preparations such as identifying qualified Wesleyan faculty to compose a pool of graduate school professors who will be sent to Hongkong to handle courses for Asian students enrolled in the graduate programs of the Wesleyan University-Philippines. Graduate programs covered by the consortium include Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration (Ph.D. BA), Master in Business Administration (MBA), and Doctor of Education (EdD) Educational Management.

Students from Taiwan, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Hongkong, and Mainland China were among the graduates of the Wyith Institute and meeting students from the same Asian countries is a possibility for the professors of the partner institutions.
