Students turn into social poets

Talents poured out during Digmaan,a spoken word poetry night performance organized by the official student publication, Genré , held at the High School Grounds.

The event tackled social issues through the use of poetic language and acoustic music.

Digmaan Committee Chairperson Jim Barry Bendoy said, “Spoken poetry is a complex thing.”

He added that the goal of the activity was to be an eye opener and promote social awareness among the youth.

Some 42 poets, singers and musicians, consisting of Wesleyan students and some alumni. performed in the event.
