Wesleyan conducts medical and dental mission, blood donation

February 23, 2018

As part of its social responsibility and in line with its 72nd Founding Anniversary, Wesleyan conducted a medical and dental mission open to all at the University Hospital last February 22.

Services included free CBC test and urinalysis performed by the hospital laboratory.

Meanwhile, Wesleyanians donated bags of blood last February 23 to be stored at the University Hospital Blood Bank

Prospective blood donors were first screened. They had to present valid identification cards, should not have ear piercing, tattoos, and history of hepatitis; have not taken alcoholic beverages or smoked cigarettes for at least 24 hours; have slept for at least eight hours; no colds, cough, fever, flu or skin disease, must weigh 50 kg and above; and last donation must have been done three months ago.

These activities fulfilled one of the WUP’s philosophy – service -- and one of its core values, compassion. ###
