Board Passers recognized on 73rd Founding Anniv

A total of 232 board passers released officially by PRC during the current school were recognized in the Board Passers Recognition Ceremony at WU-P gymnasium on February 11, 2019. This was one of the highlights of this year’s WU-P founding anniversary celebration.

WU-P holds thanksgiving, wreath-laying, boodle fight

“Wesleyan University-Philippines is a boulevard of Christian innovation”. These were the words of inspiration of Bishop, Pedro M. Torio Jr., Bishop of the Baguio Episcopal Area, as the guest speaker during the thanksgiving service at the beginning of Wesleyan 73rd Founding Anniversary celebration.

OIC President Arnel T. Panuyas also gave his message to the Wesleyan community. “The lord will continue to bless all of us because we are doing our responsibilities and duties with our best”, he said.

3 CAS faculty participate in Quali Research Workshop

Three CAS faculty members: Professors Ferman Lazatin, Jay Errol Baral, and Emmanuel John Pangan  underwent training on how to teach qualitative research in Psychology which was held at Centennial Building, University of Baguio last January 31 to February 2, 2019.

The workshop dubbed as “How to Teach Field Methods: a Workshop on Qualitative Research in Psychology ran for three days and was intended for teachers to teach qualitative research particularly those handling field methods in Psychology in the undergraduate level.

WU-P holds Commencement Exercises for First Semester A.Y 2018-2019

Wesleyan University-Philippines held its First Semester 2018-2019 commencement exercises on January 25, 2019.

A total of 369 students marched with their parents, faculty, administration officials, and BOT Chairman, Atty. Ephraim B. Cortez as commencement speaker, at the beginning of the ceremonies.

Signing Ceremony of the Collective Bargaining Agreement

January 31, 2019

After several months of negotiations, the Wesleyan University-Philippines (WU-P) management and Wesleyan University-Philippines Faculty and Staff Association (WUPFSA), formally signed the improved economic provision of their Collective Bargaining Agreement. The parties were able to agree on this improved economic package during their meeting held on January 17, 2019 and finalize their agreement on January 29, 2019.

The Wesleyan University-Philippines, College of Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences held its annual Capping, Pinning, Dedication and Candle Lighting Ceremony of 22 BSN students on January 30, 2019 at WU-P JJDG auditorium.

Project SWAN renewed and approved by DOST EXECOM

Dr. Ryan De Lara, Director of WU-P Research Development and Productivity Office, along with Engr. Jaypee Pajarillaga of Holy Angel University, and Mr. Edgardo Santos of Don Honorio Ventura Technological State University, presented the SWAN project to the DOST EXECOM at Philvocs, Diliman, Quezon City, Manila on January 28, 2019.

SWAN started on February 1, 2018 and is set to be completed on July 9, 2019. The funding of the project was approved and renewed by Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Executive Committee of the Philippine Council for Industry Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD).
