Joselito Daluz, a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in 1993, was awarded “Natatanging Wesleyanian”. With his ten years of experience as a businessman, his success has gone through putting up his own commercial buildings and residential complex in Metro Manila and in Cabanatuan City. Joselito Daluz said he does not have a secret for his success in business; he is just lucky that he graduated from Wesleyan University-Philippines. He thanked his former mentors in the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
Ronaldo Batisan a cum laude graduate of BS Accountancy in 2004, was awarded during this occasion for his outstanding service in Science and Technology. Ron, as his friends fondly call him, is the Assistant Vice President of the Customer Experience Group. He led a 7-internal team and 24 external partners in the launch of the Philippines’ first fully digital bank branch called “The Ark”, now owned by UnionBank where Ron works. “The Ark” was winner of Best Branch Customer Experience in Asia Pacific at the Customer Experience in Financial Services (CXFS) Awards held in Singapore in 2018. It also won the Driven To Lead Award from the Aboitiz Group in the same year. The Ark was recently awarded Best Digital Branch Project by The Asset Triple A Digital Awards held in Hong Kong in 2019 and was recognized as one of the Top 14 Most Stunning Branch Designs from Banks Around The World by The Financial Brand – an international digital publication focused on marketing and strategy issues affecting retail banks. Ron recently received the prestigious Young Market Masters Award (Mansmith YMMA) for excellence in Customer Experience.
Annie P. Hernandez finished her BS Nursing in 1979. She is “Natatanging Wesleyanian” for pioneering the first ever tertiary referral government Mafraq Hospital in Abu Dhabi, UAE. As Quality Manager, Annie was a member of the Executive Team of the Emirates French Hospital and the Top Management Team of Elyzee Day Surgery Medical Center in UAE. Her job entails continuous quality improvement initiatives and coordination for Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) and leading of healthcare, laboratory and home healthcare evaluations. She also facilitates and leads HAAD JAWDA Tasneef Data Certification Audit Team in achieving Jawda Data Certification, Occupational Safety and Health-Abu Dhabi (OSHAD). She was the president of the WU-P Alumni Association Emirates and Middle East Chapter and still actively involved in WU-P Global Nursing Alumni Association. She spearheaded a 5-day global alumni reunion in Abu Dhabi which was attended by Nursing alumni/alumnae from USA, Canada, Norway, and Saudi Arabia. Annie became an adviser of the Filipino Nurses Association-UAE. She was also among the many Filipino achievers awarded as “Outstanding Nurse in Abu Dhabi”.
Alvin dela Serna Lopez is a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science graduate in 2009. Alvin won 3rd Prize in poetry (English) for his “Departures” in the 69th Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards in Literature. Alvin’s “Departures” is a collection of 11 poems whose themes include physical, spiritual and historical exodus, displacement, solitude and isolation. He now works at a petrochemical joint venture between Aramco and Sumitomo in Saudi Arabia. He is currently writing his first novel, a historical fiction set in Intramuros. He served as editor-in-chief of Genre, WU-P’s central student publication in 2009.
Benjamin Joel Breboneria finished his BS in Nursing and graduated as cum laude in 2006. Benjo, as he is fondly called, became a lecturer in various schools of nursing, including Wesleyan University-Philippines. He became a professor for off-shore programs in Saint Paul University, Manila, a supervisor for curriculum and instruction in Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences University, and later in the College of Applied Medical Sciences, Department of Nursing in King Faisal University. At present, Benjo is the head of the Nursing Department of King Faisal University. Benjo is also a prolific researcher and had published his researches in reputable research journals which focus on health education, coping mechanism, leadership and management competencies and decision-making abilities. He became a resource speaker about Nursing Leadership, Preceptorship and Caring in Emergency in Saudi Arabia and Meda, Indonesia. Benjo spends his time not only in academics but also in community service. He served people in the far flung places of Nueva Ecija. In Saudi Arabia, he conducted outreach activities which greatly contributed to the development of healthcare institutions like the Ministry of Health, Hofuf, Al-Ahsa, and King Faisal University.
Bobbi Jean Breboneria came from humble beginnings in Nueva Ecija, started her studies and graduated summa cum laude in 2004 at Wesleyan University-Philippines where she obtained a good base of knowledge in accounting and audit. She passed the CPA Licensure Exam to practice audit in the Philippines. She started her career at SGV Philippines in the same year. She was promoted after two years as Senior Associate but due to scarcity of finances to help her family and put her two siblings to school, she ventured abroad. In 2007, she was hired as Senior Associate in KPMG Luxembourg. However, she was diagnosed with cancer before her departure and she has to be cured first before she leaves for the job. She survived the illness after a year and went on to Luxembourg joining a 39-nationality real estate group. She took several examinations in French to qualify as CPA in Luxembourg. Progress was quite quick due to her skills, hard work and technical capacity for she became an Associate Partner after only nine years of working with KPMG. Bobbi Jean Breboneria, now married to Bob Philippe Keiffer, Director of Treasury of Luxembourg, is continuing her career and leaving footprints in the Luxembourg and European market following various memberships and committee leaderships.
